About the Salesian Bulletin

The Salesian Bulletin was first published by St John Bosco in 1877.  it is now published in 54 different national and regional editions throughout the world, in a total of 30 languages.

The Salesian Bulletin as a means of communicating knowledge and understanding of the Salesian spirit and the activities of the Salesians throughout the world.  Particular attention is given to the missionary and educational aspects of the Salesian charism.  The Salesian Bulletin maintains a focus on youth issues and is designed to be an avenue of communication, formation and a bond of union amongst the Salesian Family.

According to the wishes of St. John Bosco the Salesian Bulletin is distributed free.  In Australia the Salesian Bulletin is published quarterly.  Four editions a year, including a full colour calendar, are sent to parishes, religious houses, schools and homes throughout Australia and overseas.
